It's 2023... What's new?

Hey everyone!

Long time no chat! 2024 is almost amongst us and the world as we once knew it has changed so much since we last chatted. I figured I'd write an update post as it's been awhile since the last time you heard from me here on the blog.

First and foremost, thank you to all the returning viewers and unique new visitors that has continued to read and show your support to this blog. I started this blog for fun in 2010, and it became a quick joy to write and cover the virtual world we all once loved as kids, Pandanda. It was such a tremendous joy to build this blog from the ground up and watch it blossom. For it to become a place, where players of the community would come for their Pandanda news, guides, tips, and community memories, is something that I never take for granted and always cherish and have appreciation for. 

This blog was made possible through you, the community. With viewers from across the globe (& over 110+ countries), we have surpassed 115,000 views on this blog! We have viewers located in the United States, Singapore, Romania, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, just to name a few, and so much more! These were only the top 10 countries!

From the moment I created this blog, I never anticipated or expected it to grow and reach players from around the world. I never knew how impactful and helpful my blog would be to the community during Pandanda's 6-year run. I never knew that this blog would continue to attract viewers for 10 more years, after the closure of our beloved childhood game in 2012. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation. I hope that my blogging days, although now, are non-existent, have continued to bring you reminiscence, memories and nostalgia.

So... What's new?

Things are completely different! I wrote a post back in 2017, giving a life update regarding what plans were in store for myself, what I intended on going to college for, and gave you a little update with life. Nothing crazy, just a little something in case you wanted to know what was next for myself. I write all posts with the intention of looking back on them at some point. It's fun to track my growth and revisit things I wrote in the past, to see how well those things aged.

To keep things condense, I did the complete opposite of everything mentioned in that post and went a complete different route. I went to school for film and television and now work in live entertainment! Things have been great for myself. But as a word of advice, to my younger audience, never give up on things you are passionate for. This blog was a creative outlook for myself growing up, and has always been a method of expression. It was important for me to figure things out and choose a career path that allowed me to continue having creative expression, growth, yet ultimately find my place to work in an industry that allows me to do exactly just that. Computer engineering and computer science wasn't for myself, and I needed to pick a field that was related to the arts, as I've always enjoyed telling stories & creating engaging content that I enjoy and want to share with others.

That's all for now! I just wanted to touch base and give an update since it has been a few years! I know there will be a bunch of people who will read this in due time, but I hope to hear updates from you too!

Pandanda - The game that started it all.

Dear Pandanda,

Thank you to the Pandanda Team at Sunleaf Studios for creating such an amazing game for all of us Pandas to enjoy, especially over the course of it's original run from 2008-2012. Pandanda officially closed its doors on October 28th, 2012 and has since then been lived on by various other Pandanda servers. The game had surpassed expectations and has lived on for an additional seven years. For that, I'll be the first to say thank you on behalf of myself and everyone else in the Pandanda community who was able to relive their childhood experience from playing Pandanda on these servers. A massive thank you to any private server owners that have continued allowing us to play Pandanda with one another for many years. The game has lasted for over a decade and that's incredible.

I joined Pandanda back on June 22nd, 2009 and today is September 28th, 2019, the official closing day of the last surviving Pandanda server, mPandanda. Thank you to the mPandanda team for their hard work, time, dedication, determination, passion, love, and loyalty for serving the Pandanda community since February 12th, 2016. Thank you for developing new content for everyone to enjoy, ranging from new custom items, to new festivals, and even new locations. Thank you for expanding the Pandanda universe to something much greater.

Life Update - 2017

Hey everyone!

You are probably completely baffled and confused right now! You are probably wondering what the heck is going on!??! Where have I been? What have I been doing? Why are you posting right now?!


Well let me fill you in with everything that has been going. 

These past couple of months have been the most stressful in my entire life to date. Back in June, I graduated from high school and I was given the burden of needing to complete and submit college applications. At the time this was incredibly difficult for me comprehend as I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do in life just yet. I knew I wanted to go to college, but I was unsure where I wanted to attend and what I wanted to major in. After figuring out what my game plan was, I decided where I wanted to go and what I wanted to major in. I'm going to double major in both computer engineering and computer science. My goal as of now is to graduate from an UC system school. For those of you who don't know what that is; it is a University of California school. For example, you may have heard of, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) or even University of California, Berkeley. (UCB) My plan as of now is to graduate from one of the 9 UC schools. As a freshman in college, I have also been very stressed with time management and its been quite overwhelming. I'm currently taking a handful of classes as I want to be able to transfer on time and into a UC system school.

You might be asking yourselves? Okay so what does this mean? I still don't understand why you're posting this.


So the message of this post is to inform everyone what my current situation in life is. I feel that ever since Pandanda closed in 2012, that my audience has only grown to be more mature and I can talk to you about this kind of stuff. I mean, 5 years? That's a lot of time that has passed. I also love my audience and appreciate you all. You guys have always been supportive of me and understanding of my situations. I feel like its only best that I key you in with what's been going on in life.

I hope you are ALL exceeding in life, whether you are in my shoes or in another pair of shoes. Feel free to leave a comment and fill me in with what's been going on in your life! (I might not have time to publish it, but I sure do see it!!)


Now for the fun part of this post. If you haven't heard of it already, there is a new Pandanda server. It is called mPandanda. Its exactly the same as Pandanda. I log on quite often to reminisce with friends! I also meet a lot of new people! And you guys always seem to ask me about my blog when you see me online.

What? You still play Pandanda?

Well not exactly. I just visit from time-to-time. I don't play it anymore as I have moved on from it. I do however like to collect stuff on occasion, do some quests, and just talk with you guys. :)

My new username on Pandanda is Randy. Don't get mistaken if you find someone else named RanRan online! That isn't me, this is me. I do, however, have a pet dragon named RanRan in memory of the good old days!

Minecraft: Disneyland

Hey everyone! If you play Minecraft and love Disneyland, then you should join this awesome Minecraft server! mc.haxiclesticks.com is an ongoing Disneyland project built by GamerKM.

This server has been operating since 2011 and its built proportionally and accurately to the California theme park, Disneyland. Everything built on that server is built to make every attraction as accurate as possible with what Minecraft has to offer. You won't be let down.

Transformice: Update v1.233 - Skill Trees!

Hey everyone! Just a reminder if you haven't seen my last fpdn.me post, click here! Theres a new location coming soon to Free Pandanda!

Something new has just arrived in Transformice! Unfortunately I hadn't known about this update just yet, but now I do so I decided to post about it just in case you haven't noticed.

2 ENTIRELY BRAND NEW SKILL TREES are in Transformice! That's right! TWO skill trees! Transformice has released the wilding and physicist skill trees!

You're probably thinking like OH RanRan is a no lifer since he is level 92. xD I haven't played it in forever soo yeah :P And there are people like 130. Now THEY have no lifes. :P


There are a bunch of new skills that allow you to do such cool things such as, split cannons, define gravity, freeze mice, remove pins, and even fly on your own personal companion! A leaf. :P


There are many new skills and there are just to many to list. :P

Easter Event / Cinema Coming Soon! - FreePandanda

Hey guys! First off,

THANK YOU!!!

I really appreciate the fact that many of you constantly return to my blog to visit my posts and pages. Its really amazing on how many people visit the blog a week.

Its always nice receiving an email showing me that people leave comments on my posts and getting a weekly update on pageviews.

I will try my best to post more often. Its very hard to manage my academics, atheletics, and other things in real life. I just wanted to let everyone know how much support and motivation you guys give me to keep the blog updated every now and then.

I promise I will try to post more.

With that being said, we are approaching 50,000 page views, the sooner we can reach 50,000 maybe we can all have a major reunion party on Free Pandanda. (fpdn.me).

Just an idea. *wink wink*

With THAT being said lets get on to a new update for Free Pandanda!

That's right! Construction in PD in approaching.. And guess what it is? (The title of this post is a hint.) :D

The Pandanda Cinema is in the works and it IS coming this time to Free Pandanda this time!

In the Pandanda Cinema you will be able to play youtube videos. I am excited myself to finally be able to see what the cinema is going to look like!

Now lets move on with more exciting news! As you notice you can see the Easter Event patch is in the picture above! Free Pandanda has just released a fresh batch of new items in Pandanda.

Thats right! And guess what?? RanRan finally posted something on the day it was released! :D Hopefully thats the start of a new routine!

There are so many easter items up for grabs including some from the beta days!

Transformice! 1.177 Summer 2k14!

Hey everyone! First off sorry for this late post! I've been on vacation with my family these last 2 weeks to visit my grandparents out of state, but now I'm back! And here's whats cookin' in TFM right now!

Transformice has released its newest update! The summer event! This summer event is very interesting personally. I found it a bit confusing at first, but the event is based off by getting "relics". The relics are obtainable by easily fishing for them in certain vanilla maps. Some prizes include NEW badges for the summer event, fireworks, graffiti spray cans, pufferfish, balls, and titles such as "Indiana Mouse." etc. 

There are 10 relic sets that can be completed. A through J and there are 10 relics for each. Some can be more rare than others.

If you even need a relic that you don't have you can always go to /room *#trade or /room *#trade1 to try finding a relic you need from someone else.. Who knows... (Maybe they need one of your extra relics.?)

This years summer event is a bit longer than usual. The event ends on September 1st.

I'm exhausted, I've no more cheese and my ears hurt. I should've known that this cheese fragrance was a trap. The natives have been chasing me for hours. I've managed to hide in this bush but I'm too tired to go on. I can hear the leaves crunching under their feet, they're coming closer and closer to me. My poor little hiding place won't protect me for long.

I know I'm about to find the relics. I can feel it. I'm sure they contain a hidden power. Legends speak of it. 10 relics were destroyed and their pieces were scattered underwater. Surely, collecting all pieces of the same relic should reveal its secret. 

Through my investigation, I've marked off 5 search areas on this map. I'm convinced we have to fish in water pointsthere.

You, explorer who reads these lines, if you find this journal it means I'm lost. Find the pieces of the relics and rebuild them. 

Everything depends on you.

Explorer's guide:

• This event is made of 5 different maps. These maps will play in all vanilla and regular rooms.
• Use ↓ to fish in water points.
• You can fish the same piece several times. You can trade them with any other player. Click on the player's name and choose "trade". Then choose the items you wish to trade. Wait for the other mouse to do the same. Validate when you're satisfied. Each mouse has to validate in order for the trade to be successful.
• There are a total of 10 relics each one composed of 10 pieces.
• You can find your inventory in the menu. Pieces of the same relics are represented by the same background color.
• The event will last until September 1!

Transformice: 1.173 Shaman Items!

Hey guys the newly released version of Transformice is now updated on the game! And I have to admit this update is pretty cool!

Transformice is now giving the option to people to customize and build their own planks and boxes with there completely all new valentine and gear set!

This is completely 10000% awesome! I was getting completely tired of those old planks and boxes and I am so happy that there are new ones!

I do admit these items are priced with a lot of cheese per item but trust me it really is worth it if you want to try new building materials!

These materials can be equipped optionally and are not set to default, so if you get bored of your new set you can always unequipped it!

Introducing: Transformice!

Hey everyone! Sorry its been such a long time since I posted. School is finally out and now I can enjoy my summer blogging about Transformice! That's right!

Transformice is a cool game for people of all ages! The objective of the game is to get your mouse to run around a map looking for cheese and trying to get to the hole as soon as possible!!

*There are maps where YOU (The Shaman) have to build using planks, boxes, and a variety of objects using pins to get the mice (your saves) to the cheese and get them to the hole is a certain time.

Transformice is a large community with a variety of games to play on it. You can play games such as, Traitor, Hide N Seek, Football, Deathmatch, Pewpew, and a ton more! So you should never get bored!

There are even different types of games in-game such as Survivor, Bootcamp, Vanilla, Music, Racing and others!

Transformice consists of almost 40,000 players logged on each day! You'll make tons of friends! Maybe you will even run into some of your old pandanda friends on there to! I sure have!

My mouse's name is PDRanRan so its going to really easy to point me out xD Just whenever you are online type /profile pdranran and my avatar should pop up (if it doesn't it means I am offline) but I don't have to be online for you to find me :) you can always type the command /friend pdranran and send me a little whisper when I am online :)

I hope everyone here still decides to play this game with me and a lot of other players from pandanda!

I could just sit here and write a whole novel on how good of a game transformice is but I'm pretty sure you like the game as it already sounds :D

Garden Party: Pet Levels!

Hi gardeners! Great news, your pets can now dig for experience, orbs, trophies, and even a special surprize at level 20. So here is a brand new guide for your GP pets.

So lets start of with the basic buttons on your pet player card. You need to always make sure to feed your pets the proper food so they can continue to dig (they can also stay happy by placing them in their kennel.) If you want to dig simply click on the shovel icon and your pet will start to dig (note: the pet will only dig in the area is it suppose to dig in; ex. ruby drop digs in dirt.) If you need any more information you can always click on the "?" for more assistance. Obviously the "X" is to close to pet card.

Any pet can increase in levels. The only way to go so, is to find XP orbs (experience.) Experience allows your pet to have a better chance of finding rare items. The higher your level, the better your chances are.

When you find enough experience to turn the entire XP bar blue, your pet will level up. Keep in mind it will take a while to find XP after your pet reaches level 15.

Gems are items that pets can also pick up. Unfortunately this part is a member only feature. But you can always sign up for VIG membership by clicking here! Once you get there, there is a button below the ingame screen that should say membership, click that and it will tell you what VIG membership allows you to do. 

Once your pet surpasses level 10 your pet will start to pick up gems. Gems are NOT easy to find. I can almost guarantee you, you will not find any gems until you get to level 13 or 14. Experience is the key to finding gems quicker.

         
There are four types of gems, green, blue, yellow, and red. They are all found in different locations..  You can find red gems in dirt; yellow gems in space; green gems in grass; blue gems in water. Once you find one of each, they form a cluster!



(Note: You will need to get one pet from every zone to level 10 at minimum to find all the gems)



From there you will go Alf in the shop and exchange clusters for awesome summer hats!!

Once one of your pets have reached level 20, you will receive a pet master patch beside your username! Isn't that awesome!! If your a boy you will get a blue pet master patch. If your a girl you will get a purple/pink pet master patch.

iPandanda: Haunted Parlour

Hey Pandas!

The haunted parlour has been updated into an iPandanda Hotel practically. Personally I do not really like it. I liked the original spooky haunted parlour before.

The graphics to be look also very poor. And this room is very glitchy. I recommend staying out of it until it is glitch free. Do you like this new designed room?

This is so cool now we have options to go in each server lol

Springo is Hoping!

Howdy gardeners, today garden party has been updating an early Easter week so that means you have time to collect Easter stuff, especially the costumes too! If you see springo hopping around garden party world say Hi to him and he will do the unscramble so here's a message that pops in automatically, and picture of me and springo!
